John Maxfield

John Maxfield FCCA consults to a variety of clients on business development issues. Since working with Economic Growth Management he has undertaken a range of projects.

He qualified with Thomson McLintock (now part of KPMG) in 1982 and joined a progressive investment company based in North London. As Finance Director for several of the subsidiary companies, he obtained a detailed working knowledge of a variety of sectors, including Health Clubs, Tour Operators, Computer Services and Asset Finance. In 1987 John purchased and ran his own “Maxfields” chain of wine bars, however in 1991 he returned to Accountancy and helped the IAF Group transform from a family-controlled company into a public company listed on the London Stock Exchange. He then joined Red Bull as Finance Director with a specific brief to transform the organisation from a purely Marketing company into a full sales and distribution operation.
